G7 to Take Vote On, and Define Fair Access for All Nations
April 1, 2014 LYON, France – Ocean Data Systems, the technology leader in automated reporting for industry, announced that it is in discussions with the leading industrial nations, in an unprecedented move to deliver Dream Report as the global standard for reporting in automation.
Dream Report is already localized for, and installed in, countless applications within the G7 countries of France, United States, Britain, Germany, Japan, Italy and Canada. With standardization on Dream Report imminent, based on a vote at the next meeting, the G7 Brussels Summit, June 4-5, 2014, it is expected that discussions will center on fair access to the technology and support for additional languages, beyond the 13 already supported. As a global resource, a guiding principle that no one country can use Dream Report as a technological “Competitive Advantage” over its neighbors is a clear mandate.

That time is just a few months away.”
Kok added, “We have been sensitive to how standardizing on our solution would impact other leading Report Generation companies, namely Microsoft and SAP. In a candid discussion with Bill Gates, founder and technology advisor for Microsoft, Bill stated ‘Roy, don’t worry about the impact on us. We are not as focused on reporting for industry as Ocean Data Systems is, and we acknowledge that Process Engineers want the easiest to use solution. Clearly, ease-of-use is not our first area of focus. We will do fine, conceding this space to Dream Report and it will be for the good of all.’ We have not had discussions with SAP, but expect they will be equally supportive.”
Ocean Data Systems is collecting requirements for its “Dream Report – All Nations” release, slated for the summer of 2014. Our engineers are ready for this challenge. Requests are filtering in from a number of sources, some authorized and some anonymous. Greenpeace has made a request that the Dream Report Web Portal, PDF and file outputs be hard coded as the only output options, removing its printing capability. An anonymous request from the vicinity of Dolce, NM. specified additional languages that should be given a high priority, including Mandalorian, Interlac, Alienese dialects 1 & 2, and Zentradi. About the G7
The Group of Seven (G7) is the name of a forum for the governments of a group of seven leading industrialized countries that was originally formed by six leading industrialized countries and subsequently extended with one additional member. The forum originated with a 1975 summit hosted by France that brought together representatives of six governments: France, West Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States, thus leading to the name Group of Six or G6. The summit became known as the Group of Seven or G7 the following year with the addition of Canada.
